Loans and Advances – Loans to Government Servants – Allotment of funds for Marriage Advance for the period from January,2015 to March, 2015 during the financial year 2014-2015– Orders – Issued.

Order:
1.As per the orders issued in the references 1st to 9th read above and in relaxation of orders issued in the reference 10th read above, the budget provision for the period from January,2015 to March, 2015 from B.E.2014-15 for an amount of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs only) is hereby released towards sanction of Marriage Advance to the Departments as detailed in the Annexure to this order for sanctioning loans to Government employees under their administrative control, duly following relevant rules and instructions in force.
2. The following principles shall be kept in view while sanctioning loans to Government Servants by the Departments:-
(i) The Departments of Secretariat and Heads of Departments should not utilise the amount allotted to the employees of Regional and District Offices for sanctioning the Advance to their employees.
(ii) Special care should be taken to scrutinize the case for sanction of Marriage Advance to the employees to ensure that they do not draw advance by producing false particulars of daughters and sons.
(iii) The Sanctioning authority shall ensure that prompt action is taken against the defaulters who misuse the amount and against those who fail to complete the formalities in time, according to the rules.
3. The Secretariat Departments shall issue suitable instructions to the loan sanctioning authorities to arrange for prompt recovery of the loan amount sanctioned to the employees as per rules on the subject.
4. The expenditure on account of sanction of Marriage Advance shall be debited to “7610– Loans to Government Servants etc.- M.H.800 Other Advances- S.H.(05) Marriage Advances- 001 Marriage Advances”.
5. The Departments of Secretariat other than the Finance Department shall take immediate action to reallocate the funds among the Departments under their control for sanction of loan, to the eligible employees.
